Mulberry STEM Academy – Cohort 1 graduate in style!
On Friday 25th February, the Mulberry Schools Trust first cohort of Mulberry STEM Academy scholars attended a special graduation ceremony to recognise and mark their participation in the STEM programme. The graduation ceremony was held at Mulberry Academy Shoreditch where students were joined by parents, Trustees and speakers to celebrate the students’ achievements. A special and very popular guest had arrived earlier in the day to take centre stage – the recently launched, spectacular Mercedes W13 car.
We were very pleased to welcome Paul Mills, Chief People Officer who gave a moving speech and Russell Braithwaite, Chief Financial Officer at Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix Ltd. who presented students’ graduation certificates. Sir Lewis Hamilton sent a heartfelt message and special PRIDE awards were presented.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed some delicious food and took the opportunity to browse some amazing STEM displays showcasing science, computer science and maths at Mulberry Academy Shoreditch.
Everyone had a fantastic afternoon and our proud STEM scholars definitely had a day to remember!
A very big thank you to Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix Ltd for partnering with the Mulberry Schools Trust to give our young people such amazing opportunities.
