About us

Our Impact

With the support of an extensive network of partners, the Mulberry Schools Trust has made a positive difference in the lives of thousands of students and their families.

Our flourishing family of schools is united by a commitment to excellence, creativity and continuous improvement. Our schools have a strong record of working collaboratively to share effective practice. They are supported by strong governance, an agile Central Services Team, and a Trust-wide enrichment offer in STEM, the arts and global education.

Each of our schools has its own character, shaped by the needs of its community, but all share the same vision and values. Many of our students face social and economic disadvantage, alongside barriers linked to equality and diversity, and our aim is to change this for every child.

We are proud of the achievements of our students, and the dedication of our staff who support them to succeed.

  • We offer an academically rigorous curriculum, including the EBACC, and have a strong culture of high standards in every classroom.
  • Our founding school, Mulberry School for Girls, has been judged ‘Outstanding’ in three successive Ofsted inspections.
  • Students in our schools make excellent progress and achieve above average in GCSE and A-level examinations.
  • Disadvantaged students, who make up more than half of our student body, perform exceptionally well and make progress at the same rate as other students.

We have a strong focus on wellbeing, family partnerships and removing barriers to learning. The strong pastoral care we provide for students is reflected in our excellent attendance and behaviour outcomes across Trust schools. We have low levels of suspensions and exclusions, above national average attendance and significantly below average persistent absence

We have strong retention and progression because of high-quality professional development, leadership pathways, and a real focus on staff wellbeing and workload.

We are proud to support school improvement beyond our own schools, and we have ambitious plans for the future. This includes the development of the Mulberry Learning Village, an all-through alternative provision for 5–19 year-olds offering a therapeutic and inclusive approach which is being developed in partnership with Tower Hamlets Council.
