On Wednesday 4 March 2026, the fifth cohort of the Mulberry STEM Academy celebrated their graduation at Mulberry UTC.

Presented by partners from the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team, Head of Car Design Giacomo Tortora, Chief People Officer Anca Raines, and Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Hiran Odedra, all participating students received certificates and official recognition from the team for completing the programme. Awards were also given to those who had demonstrated PRIDE values, academic excellence, as well as special commendation and a Greenpower Award.

The event was hosted by Mulberry Schools Trust students Gabriella Sissi and Rakin Ahmad, with speeches from Dr Stuart Mundy, who leads the programme, and the Chief Executive Officer of Mulberry Schools Trust, Dr Vanessa Ogden CBE.

After the graduation ceremony, the ribbon of the STEM Lab at Mulberry UTC was cut, marking the official opening of the facility. Students then gave the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team a tour of the equipment, explaining how it has supported their practical learning across STEM subjects and engineering throughout the programme.
