Who we are, how we work

Trustees, governors, teachers and staff have created the Mulberry Schools Trust family of schools, with access, opportunity and excellence at its heart. Everyone in our family shares a commitment to ‘outstanding achievement for all’, and the education and enrichment we provide is designed to deliver the very best life chances for everyone, regardless of background, circumstance or need.

Amazing

Like our communities, we are proudly diverse, inclusive and welcoming, with unwavering commitment to the young people we serve. Polices and plans help make sure everything works for their benefit, meets our strategic aims and statutory responsibilities, and reflects our vision and values.

Find out about the people, process and polices helping us provide leadership and support for our whole family, and ensuring we meet our own requirements as a multi-academy trust.

Our CEO

Our CEO, Dr Vanessa Ogden CBE, provides leadership for all Trust activities and has overall responsibility for the education of all the young people in our schools. Central services

To help our flourishing family of schools focus on delivering exceptional education and enrichment opportunities for the children they serve, they are supported by our business and governance infrastructure, led by our lean and nimble Executive Services team. Their expertise and experience in education and business helps the whole Trust family manage its resources appropriately and effectively.

Governance

Our governance enables us to provide strategic leadership, accountability and assurance and involves all the people, processes and policies that help us make decisions, function effectively and develop the Trust.

Policies, plans and reports

Our online library, where you will find all the governance documents, policies and plans that guide our Trust, helping us manage all the resources we need to meet all our regulatory, contractual and statutory obligations. You can also browse reports of our progress and performance, like our annual reports and accounts.

Trustees and members

Our trustees and company members have wide-ranging skills and experiences that reflect the diversity of the community we serve, making sure a representative variety of views contributes to the debate and decision making that helps the Trust function effectively.

Registers of interest

Having trustees, governors, Trust and school leaders with no inappropriate personal, political, financial or business ties to the Trust or each other, means there can be effective challenge and transparency in decision making and planning for change. We maintain and make available registers of personal and financial interests for everyone involved in the governance of the Trust.
