Over the past ten years, we have grown into a family of eight schools, supported by a strong business and governance infrastructure and a lean, agile central services team. Our schools hold a mix of good and outstanding Ofsted judgements and have a well-established record of sharing practice.
Each school retains its own character, united by a shared identity that defines our work as a multi-academy trust. Our principals and headteachers are strong and experienced leaders, who are supported by an environment that fosters collaboration, shared learning and engagement with wider system leadership.
To support ongoing improvement, we have strengthened our infrastructure for sharing practice across the Trust. This includes peer reviews, leadership development, professional networks and specialist programmes. Our work extends from early years through to post-16, strengthening continuity for students from age 2 to 19.
As we look ahead, we are preparing for further growth. As of 2025, we educate over 6,500 students and employ more than 750 staff.
Alongside our school improvement work, we have developed several key strands that broaden opportunities for students and staff:
- The East London Teaching School Hub – delivering ITT, the ECF, NPQs and a programme of CPD.
- Mulberry Arts – offering a Trust-wide arts programme across multiple disciplines, including the Mulberry Production Arts Academy.
- Mulberry STEM Academy – a supplementary school and talent pipeline in partnership with Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix Ltd
- The Mulberry Schools Foundation – providing financial and experiential opportunities that broaden horizons for students and families, including our flagship Global Girl Leading programme.
As we look to the future, we recognise that we are part way through a long-term journey. We are well positioned, with strong governance, secure finances and high-quality central services, complemented by a rich, trust-wide offer for students and staff. The next phase promises to be ambitious and energising, as we move into the next chapter of the Trust’s development.
